Ingredients of Lauki Ki Sabji Recipe

  1. Lauki Vegetable- 450 gm
  2. Oil- 2 Tablespoon
  3. Bay Leaves- 2 Pics
  4. Cinnamon- 1 Inch
  5. Kasuri Methi- 1 Teaspoon
  6. Cumin Seed / Jeera- 1 Teaspoon
  7. Onion(Finely Chopped)- 1 Medium Size
  8. Tomato(Chopped)- 1 Medium Size
  9. Ginger Paste- 1/2 Teaspoon
  10. Garlic paste- 1/2 Teaspoon
  11. Turmeric Powder- 1 Teaspoon
  12. Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder- 1 Teaspoon
  13. Coriander Powder- 1/2 Teaspoon
  14. Salt- As required
  15. Water- 1 Cup
  16. Garam Masala Powder- 1/2 Teaspoon
  17. Green Coriander Leaves(Finely Chopped)

Step-By-Step Cooking Process of Lauki Ki Sabji

  1. Firstly, take a non-stick kadhai and keep them above the stove over medium heat.
  2. Pour 2 tablespoons of oil and heat up them, after some time, add cumin seed,  bay leaves, and cinnamon. fry them until they become aromatic.
  3. Now add chopped onion, Ginger, and Garlic paste. Sauté them until they become golden brown.
  4. Add Turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Keep the flame on a low level.
  5. Saute the masala until it turns aromatic.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and saute them until it turns soft and mushy.
  7. Now add Lauki(cutted into small pieces) and saute them for 5 minutes.
  8. Add 1 cup of water and mix them well.
  9. Cover the kadhai and boil them for 20 minutes on medium flame (until Lauki pieces are well cooked).
  10. Check the gravy and add more water or ingredients if required.
  11. Now put some garam masala and mix them well.
  12. Add kasuri methi and fresh green coriander leaves into the gravy.
  13. Now, your Lauki Ki Sabji is ready.
  14. You can eat them with Roti, Naan or Rice.
